(COMAC) in 2024 under the guidance of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, is launched to implement the national strategies of building a powerful transportation country and a powerful manufacturing country.
Since its founding, IICA has steadily advanced work in international exchanges, discipline development, degree education, research projects and special thematic training. It is committed to cultivating high-level interdisciplinary civil aviation management talents with outstanding leadership and global vision, and building a world-class think tank brand in the field of international civil aviation. Starting from 2024, the Institute hosts the annual International Civil Aviation Forum to keep track of developments and digital & intelligent trends in the global aviation industry. It serves as a high-level cross-border and cross-regional platform for exchange and cooperation among global civil aviation practitioners, contributing insights to improve the global civil aviation industrial ecosystem and explore pathways for future development.
IICA aims to build a world-class think tank, a high-end talent training base and an international exchange and cooperation platform for international civil aviation. It facilitates the integration of civil aircraft manufacturing, civil aviation transport, policies and regulations, and digital technologies. Covering four core functions including academic research, degree education, industrial training and international dialogue, IICA helps enhance China’s soft power in civil aviation and supports civil aviation cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
