Training Requirement
1. The basic process of the dissertation work includes an opening report, a mid-term inspection, a review and a final defense of the thesis. This program thereby manages the thesis quality throughout the whole process. Abiding by this process and the incorporation of the thesis opening, inspection, review and defense sections allow the implementation of a two-way anonymous system whilst keeping an advisor avoidance mechanism.
2. The opening report of the degree thesis usually takes place within 1 month of the first semester in the second academic year, and will be organized by ACEM as a proposal meeting. The mid-term inspection happens in the first semester of the second academic year, and the review and defense fall in the middle of the second semester in the second academic year. For detailed requirements, please refer to the Degree Plan.
3. As the professional practice is a compulsory part of the MIB program, lack of proof of participation in the professional practice or failure in professional practice courses prohibits the students from defending academic dissertation. Professional practice activities must be carried out in relevant institutions. It is with general consideration that the duration of professional practice in total should reach no less than 10 weeks. Intensive continuous or periodical practice are both allowed, but none of the internships should be less than three weeks.
Thesis/dissertation work
The topic of the dissertation shall be closely related to the actual problems of aviation industry management, and the dissertation shall reflect the students' solid knowledge of basic theories, modern management methods and corresponding aviation professional and technical knowledge, and the students' ability to analyze and solve the actual problems of aviation industry management by applying the theories, methods and tools of international business and related aviation disciplines, so as to provide the decision-making basis for the management practice of the aviation industry. The mid-term inspection happens in the first semester of the second academic year, and the review and defense fall in the middle of the second semester in the second academic year. For detailed requirements, please refer to the Degree Plan.
